A Moonlit Night (একটি চাঁদনী রাত)

A moonlit night is a very special and attractive night. A moonlit night is the gift of Allah. It is a very charming one. On moonlit night the nature is very beautiful to look at. There is no cloud in the sky. The moon seems like a queen. She sits on her throne. Hundreds of stars twinkle around her. It seems that the trees, the rivers, the lakes and the crops field are bathing in flood of light. Generally, people get a lot of pleasure from going outside and enjoying the beauty of nature. I enjoy it and praise Allah for His artistry.

অনুবাদ : চাঁদনী রাত একটা বিশেষ আকর্ষণীয় রাত। চাঁদনী রাত হলো আল্লাহর দান। এটা খুব মনোমুগ্ধকর। চাঁদনী রাতে প্রকৃতি ভারী সুন্দর দেখায়। আকাশে কোনো মেঘ থাকে না। চাঁদটাকে রানির মতো মনে হয়। সে যেন তার সিংহাসনে বসে আছে। তার চারপাশে শত শত তারকা মিটমিট করে জ্বলে। দেখে মনে হয় গাছপালা, নদীনালা, হ্রদ ও ফসলের মাঠ যেন জ্যোৎস্নার বন্যায় অবগাহন করছে। সাধারণত, মানুষ বাইরে গিয়ে প্রকৃতির সৌন্দর্য উপভোগ করে অনেক আনন্দ পায়। আমি এটা উপভোগ করি এবং আল্লাহর প্রশংসা করি তাঁর এই শিল্পময় কারুকাজের জন্য ।

A MOONLIT NIGHT

The moon is called the queen of the night and the night lit by the moon is a moonlit night. In a clear sky its mild beam spreads all over the earth. It is really a night of dream and enjoyment. Nature, bathed in moonlight, appears to put on new garments in a full moon night. Trees and plants, rivers and lakes, meadows and corn fields, roads and avenues seem to be bathing in the soothing light of the moon. They all wear an inviting look. In the cloudless sky the moon looks like a silver dish. When the moon pours her light on the waves of the water it sparkles like a diamond. It is a pleasant experience to be out for a walk in such a night. The matchless beauty of the night makes us forget temporarily all the problems and anxieties, sorrows and misfortunes pains and failures. She brings sheer joy and unalloyed satisfaction. In a moonlit night both landscape and seascape assume newer aspects. In the prosaic world a moonlit night is a piece of fine lyric. In this world where there is so much ugliness, a moonlit night is a redeeming feature. Such a night cheers the mind and leaves an indelible impression on it. A moonlit night is very favourite to me. Its beauty can better be realized than described.

বঙ্গানুবাদ: চাঁদনী রাত চাঁদকে রাতের রাণী বলা হয় আর চাঁদের দ্বারা আলোকিত রাতকে বলা হয় জ্যোৎস্নামুখর রাত। স্বচ্ছ আকাশে এর মৃদু আলো সারা বিশ্বে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। এটি সত্যিই স্বপ্ন ও আনন্দের একটা রাত। প্রকৃতি জ্যোস্নায় স্নাত হয়ে জ্যোৎস্নামুখর রাতে নতুন পোশাক পরিহিত বলে মনে হয়। গাছপালা, নদ-নদী ও খাল-বিল, তৃণভূমি ও ফসলের মাঠ, রাস্তাঘাট ও এভিনিউকে মনে হয় যেন চাঁদের শান্ত আলোয় স্নাত হয়েছে। এ সবকিছু আকর্ষণীয় চেহারা ধারণ করে। মেঘমুক্ত আকাশে চাঁদটি দেখতে অবিকল রূপার থালার মতো দেখায়। যখন চাঁদ পানির ঢেউ-এর উপর তার আলো ছড়ায় তখন তা হীরার মতো ঝলমল করে উঠে। এমন রাতে বাইরে বেড়িয়ে হাঁটাহাঁটি করা একটা চমৎকার অভিজ্ঞতা। রাতের অতুলনীয় সৌন্দর্য আমাদেরকে সব ঝামেলা ও দুশ্চিন্তা, দুঃখ ও দুর্ভাগ্য, যন্ত্রণা ও ব্যর্থতা ক্ষণিকের জন্য ভুলিয়ে দেয়। সে নির্ভেজাল আনন্দ ও পরিপূর্ণ তৃপ্তি এনে দেয়। চন্দ্রিমা রাতে ভূ-ভাগ এবং সমুদ্রভাগ উভয়ই নবরূপ লাভ করে। বিরস পৃথিবীতে জ্যোৎস্নামুখর রাত মধুর গানের মতো। এই পৃথিবীতে যেখানে এত বেশি কদর্যতা সেখানে চন্দ্রিমা রাত ক্ষণিকের স্বস্তি। এমন রাত মনকে প্রফুল্ল করে এর উপর রেখে যায় অমোচনীয় ছাপ। চন্দ্রিমা রাত আমার ভীষণ প্রিয়। এর সৌন্দর্য বর্ণনা করা যায় না; কেবল অনুভব করা যায়।
